Where is Lee's Korean Martial Arts located?

Lee's Korean Martial Arts has two convenient locations in the Sacramento area. Our "South School" is located in Elk Grove on the corner of Sheldon Rd & Elk Grove Florin Blvd directly across from Rau Park. Our "North School" is located in Rancho Cordova right off of HWY-50 on Mather Field Rd Both martial arts school have black belt instructors and offer training six days a week.

How long does it take to get a black belt?

To achieve the rank of Black Belt in Taekwondo and Hapkido it takes roughly 4 years for adults. Children are able to start training in Hapkido when they are 12 years old or once they earn their black belt. For all ages of students who wish to get their black belt sooner, we offer accelerated training and private lessons. Priavte martial arts lessons are taught by Master Alex in Rancho Cordova and Grandmaster Lee in Elk Grove.

Can I take martial arts classes with my child?

Yes. Lee's Korean Martial Arts offers Family classes that can be taken with the entire family. We have developed a curriculum for our family classes so both adults and children equally benefit and thrive on their journey to learning Taekwondo in the Sacramento area.

What is Hapkido?

Hapkido is a form of self-defense that uses joint locks, throws, kicks, punches, and striking techniques. A Hapkido student will use body position, footwork and leverage to avoid using strength against their opponents.

When are martial arts classes and what time do they start?

Taekwondo and Hapkido classes start at various times during the week. Both our Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove martial arts schools have different schedules. Are there age, height, weight, or mobility requirements?

Consistently fostering a positive learning environment, if a student (child, kid, teen, adult) is unable to perform a specific exercise, or is in some way incapacitated- we work with you and your body on what you can and are able to do. Regardless of height, weight, disability, etc., everyone is capable of learning martial arts both to defend themselves and keep fit. top

What is the correct spelling of Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is the most common form. However, Tae Kwon Do is the most correct. In Korean Tae means "foot" Kwon means "hand" and Do means "way of life." Common misspellings include "teakwondo" and "taekwando"
